This Aluminum inspection plate replaces the lower steel inspection plate on the F5M42 transmission.
Application:
2000-2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse 2.4L 5 Speed Manual Transmission
2001+ Dodge Stratus 2.4L 5 Speed Manual Transmission
Installation:
Factory hardware can be used. Make sure surfaces are clean and free of oil, dirt and debris. Apply liberal coat of Gear Oil Gasket Maker sealant ex: Permatex 81182. Generic silicone sealant will evedntually break down and fail causing leaks.
